Investment Casting
also called the "Lost-Wax" Process, offers a wide range of materials from non-ferrous alloys to tool steel and stainless alloys. This process (by which gold dental inlays are made) also permits intricate design and "undercuts" not normally capable by other processes. Tolerances in the range of +/- .004" are common and the smooth as-cast surfaces are ideal for a variety of polished finishes. Most quality golf clubs and marine deck & top fittings are made by this process. (Ask about our proprietary line of stainless and chrome plated die cast marine fittings).

Corrosion resistance also favors stainless investment casting for valve bodies, pump components, and many food processing applications.

We can provide not only the castings but machining and cosmetic finishing as well.

We recommend this process principally where parts of steel alloy under 2 Ibs. are required. For larger parts it is usually cost-efficient to use a sand casting and machine the critical dimensions.
